About CHIVA
International
CHIVA is an Association of professionals who are committed to providing excellence in the care of children infected or affected by HIV and their families. There are currently more than 200 CHIVA members, embracing many different disciplines including nursing, GU Medicine, paediatrics, community child health, child development, psychology, social work, dieticians, pharmacists and support services.
The aims of the Association are stated in the Founding Document. One of the first priorities has been to develop standards of care for the UK and Ireland.
We have drawn together guidelines and support materials from a variety of sources, which will be regularly reviewed and up-dated. These are designed to be downloaded and adapted for local use. We would welcome comments, and additional materials that colleagues wish to contribute. Please direct all comments by email to the Chairman (see list of Executive Committee), or the author whose name appears at the top of each document.
