Talking sex
Talking to your child about sex is difficult for all parents, but children do need to know about sex – both the physical and emotional sides – and they need accurate information before puberty.
When you or your child has HIV, talking about sex can really help with preparing to later talk about HIV. Ideally, both should be ongoing processes, and in some ways the earlier you start, the easier it will be.
