Summer Camp

The HIV positive young people we work with have said they want this summer camp to be a place where they are free to be who they are, rather than hiding parts of themselves for fear of how others may react to them. The mission of the camp is to provide a facility where young people have their right to be accepted and to be ‘free’ upheld. Those attending will be between 13 and 18 years of age. These young people frequently experience discrimination and face considerable challenges due to living with HIV. CHIVA is committed to working to ensure these young people are afforded the same opportunities as every other young person. We believe that all children and young people have a right to be involved in society, to have their voices heard and not to be judged.

Applications for the summer camp are now closed. We will notify young people or their refererers whether they have gained a place on 16th July.
