Be the voice: Join the Chiva Youth Committee
Are you a young person living with HIV between the ages of 13 and 17 in the UK or Ireland? The Chiva Youth Committee (CYC) needs you! We’re currently recruiting new members who want to be a voice for young people living with HIV and help shape Chiva’s work.
What is the Chiva Youth Committee?
The Chiva Youth Committee is a dynamic group of young people living with HIV who actively engage in various projects and campaigns. Since its inception in 2010, the CYC has worked collaboratively with the Chiva staff team, Trustee Board, and Steering Group to:
1. Give a voice: Ensure the views and experiences of children and young people living with HIV are reflected in the work of Chiva and in the public domain.
2. Tackle stigma: Combat HIV stigma and support campaigns by collaborating with the media, policy makers, and the public.
With a committee of 20 members, including an elected chair and deputy chair, each member holds their roles for two or three years.
