Chiva Youth Committee Update July 2022
The CYC has had a busy few months. During Easter, all 15 members met for a residential. A sub-group of the CYC (the Youth Trials Board group) ran a ‘Youth Communication’ training session. Some members undertook research as part of the SKETCH study and others developed a flyer for health professionals about communication in clinic settings.
In April, the CYC met via zoom with the Committee of African Youth Advisors and shared the CYC’s new education toolkit.
In May, nine CYC members took part in a focus group with Brook sexual health charity about the Online Safety Bill which involved very rich discussions, and five members spoke at the Chiva conference about their experiences of living with HIV.
