This oral history project is progressing, with two residential meet-ups taking place so far in 2022, in which eight life stories have been recorded. The meet-ups have the added benefit of providing support and time with peers. Feedback from participants has been very positive, with some saying that having the time to talk about their life stories has been important, helpful, and validating.
“Many thanks for inviting me to share my story. It was amazing to be able to be my own voice and for others in the future to learn and educate themselves with my story.”
The next residential planned for July is full but a further residential will be planned for October and individual interviews can also take place outside of the residential meet-ups. For further information visit: www.chiva.org.uk/postivelyspoken or contact [email protected].
