Each year we have undertaken thorough evaluations of the young people’s experiences at camp, as well as the experiences of the volunteers.
In 2015 The Royal Holloway University London began a comprehensive evaluation of CHIVA support camp. After 5 years of running our support camp CHIVA were keen to develop an increased understanding of the impact of the intervention on young people's lives, and in particular more understanding of the psychological and behavioural outcomes following attendance at camp. The evaluation also aimed to understand how camp is experienced by attendees, how they perceive its impact on their lives and ability to live well with HIV. The full report from this evaluation can be read here.
