We know that Coronavirus COVID-19 is causing a lot of worries for people, we aim to provide information, guidance, support and reassurance during this challenging time. CHIVA have developed dedicated information for professionals, parents and young people on COVID-19 and HIV to provide updates on recommendations and evidence as received.

Enhancing the health and social wellbeing of children and young people living with HIV

What is vFTB?

This year we are running our annual Freedom to Be Camp virtually, with 'vFTB 2020'. While this time we may not be able to be together in one place, we want to make sure that we come together in one space. CHIVA is creating a safe space for young people living with HIV to learn about living well with HIV, express themselves and connect with their peers.

This year's camp theme is Heroes. Together we will explore what it means to be a true hero – someone who looks after themselves and those around them.

From Monday 3rd-Friday 7th August, registered participants can take part in live, online, interactive workshops. With our staff and trained volunteers on hand, they will be able to talk and connect with other young people living with HIV. We will also be releasing a series of specially created videos of inspiring speakers sharing their own experiences, and experts to answer commonly asked questions.

Every day there will be daily video updates, competitions to take part in, and our legendary Final Night Party & Games Night on Friday 7th August!
