Enhancing the health and social wellbeing of children and young people living with HIV

A close family member may have died recently and you want to talk to someone about it. Or someone may have died longer ago, but you’ve only just found out they actually died from an AIDS related illness. Or maybe you knew why they died but now you have lots of questions about it and you are feeling like you’d like to talk about it again.

There are a lot of services that can support children and young people with death and bereavement. When you contact them you don’t need to tell them this is about HIV, just that a close family member died and you would like to talk about it. You can find your nearest local support through the Childhood Bereavement Network.
