New Mums Meet Up Provides a Safe Space for Open Conversations about HIV
In May 2025 we held a really successful meet-up for new mums who are living with HIV in London. Lisa from the Chiva staff team and Paula and Becci from the 900 clinic (Imperial College Healthcare) who ran the session were really pleased that the supportive dialogue between the mums flowed naturally without much need for an agenda.
One mum said to Lisa that she felt as if she’d been living in the shadows and it was a relief to be able to talk openly with a group. This was a very powerful event and showed the need for similar meet-ups in future.
