We work in HIV clinics and conduct home visits in regions around the UK to help children and young adults with the wider impacts of HIV. This includes helping young adults transition from paediatric HIV clinics to adult services.

Our regional staff also organise meet-ups in different parts of the country to bring together local young people living with HIV. This can be for specific age groups, or we’ve even started organising meet-ups for mothers in London. To get support from Chiva or to sign up to any of our activities for young people, as listed on this page, please reach out to your local contact or fill out the form below.

Please email [email protected] if you have any problems completing the form.

What happens at regional meet-ups?

Regional meet-ups always involve some learning about HIV and discussion around different issues faced by young people, often with input from specialist professionals.

The sessions also provide an opportunity for young people to meet and support others from their age group, as well as taking part in fun activities. Groups have designed artwork for their clinic, cooked together, visited the Dr Who Experience, been to the cinema, played adventure golf, gone surfing, bowling and ice skating, for example.
