Families’ Weekend
Every year we hold at least one Families’ Weekend. These are for the immediate families of children and young people living with HIV, including their siblings. It’s a chance to come together in a safe, supported space for a weekend retreat in the countryside and to:
- Meet other families living with HIV
- Explore how to communicate better
- Enjoy activities for all the family
Open conversation about HIV is encouraged, so all children attending, aged eight and above, should know about HIV in the family. All those under eight will be looked after during the day, in a dedicated creche with their own activities to enjoy.
Upcoming Events
We will be running two Families’ Weekends in 2026.
Our first residential took place in Herefordshire from Saturday 23 to Monday 25 May.
The second residential will take place in Oxfordshire from Saturday 24 to Monday 26 October. Spaces are already full.
